What does it mean when it says printer ribbon out error on a Zebra 105SL? How much is it to fix the problem?

Q. My Zebra 105SL says Printer Ribbon Out Error. What does that exactly mean like whats wrong with the zebra. How can I fix it and what will it cost to fix the problem? Do i need to replace something or buy some stuff to repair the problem?

A. No, you don't need to get another printer. Has the printer software been reinstalled? You may need to do that depending upon what you did to your computer to get rid of the virus you had. Not knowing what you did to the computer would make answering this question hard. But what ever it was, it's a software or device driver problem, not the printer itself. So buying a new printer would be a waste of money, unless your printer is very old.

How do I fix my Royal Cash Register?

Q. My Royal cash register model alpha-9155sc gave me exactly one-and-a-half day of use before alerting me to "printer error" with a beep. I have tried doing a half system clear and a full system clear, but to no avail. I have unplugged the cash register, removed the battery, then plugged it in back after a few hours. Now when I try to program the date, I don't hear any key tone, and an error message "CNTRSNA" shows on the display with a beep sound. Any help is greatly appreciated.
